Founded in 1998, the Agora Ensemble is made up of six instrumentalists from the major French music schools. Their formation combines the expressive timbres of the winds (flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and horn) with that of the harp, giving their productions a unique sound signature.
The ensemble likes to imagine new forms of concerts, where music meets other arts: illustrators, writers, directors or actors have thus participated in their original productions. These shows, often aimed at young audiences, have been published in book-discs by Actes Sud Junior, Didier Jeunesse and Gallimard Jeunesse, and have been staged in prestigious venues such as the Opéra-Comique in Paris, the Opéra de Lyon, and many others.
