The OVE, managed for more than 30 years by Hansruedi Kämpfen, is one of the jewels of the Swiss choral societies. Since its first victory at the international competition in Gorizia in 1989, the ensemble has been regularly awarded prizes in both national and international competitions. Involved on several occasions in renowned festivals, the OVE has sung under the direction of conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Marcus Creed or Ton Koopman. The ensemble also likes to think outside the box, one example of which is the project “Mysterium Montis”, vespers composed by Carl Rütti for 6 Alphorn, double choir and soloists.
