Born a little over twenty years ago from the desire and enthusiasm of violinist Gidon Kremer, Kremerata Baltica has since established itself as one of the most successful chamber orchestras on the international scene. Made up of young musicians from the Baltic countries, the group stands out for the exuberance and vitality of its bold programmes, as well as the elegance of its sound. Still led by Gidon Kremer, the Kremerata has since its birth played in more than 50 countries, given more than a thousand concerts and recorded several dozen records, unanimously acclaimed by critics.
