Jean-Louis Capezzali began his musical studies with the piano at the age of 9 years. Five years later he knows the oboe in the class of Gaston Longatte at the Conservatory of Versailles where he won the gold medal and the Prix d’Honneur. In 1979, at the age of twenty, get the qualification to the oboe and the same year was appointed First oboe soloist in the Orchestra of the “Concerts Lamoureux” in Paris.
In 1984 he became principal oboist Supersolista Philharmonic Orchestra of Radio-France. Also in 1982 he was awarded the Geneva International Competitions (1982) and Prague (1986).

After being an assistant to Maurice Bourgue at the Superior Conservatory of Paris for four years it happens as Assistant Professor in 1992.
Since 1998 he teaches at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Lyon where he is also head of the department of Woods. In 2008 inaugurates a new class at the Conservatory of Lausanne.

Jean-Louis Capezzali place, in parallel with its commitments as a teacher, a career as a soloist and chamber musician that led him to collaborate with the best orchestras and chamber of the world such as the Philharmonic Orchestra of Radio-France, the Ensemble Orchestral de Paris, the Chamber Orchestra of Toulouse, the Symphony Orchestras of Taiwan, Bordeaux, Montpellier, the Chamber Orchestra of Japan and others.
He’s regularly invited to give concerts and master classes in China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Scandinavia, Russia, Poland, Czech Republic, USA, Italy, Spain …
