Kyung Sun Lee’s list of prizes is impressive: first prize at the Washington and D’Angelo competitions, bronze medals at the Tchaikovsky and Queen Elisabeth competitions, and third prize at the Montreal Competition, where she also won the Audience Prize and the Prize for the best interpretation of a contemporary work. Following these brilliant successes, the violinist’s career has taken off and led to her playing in fifty states of the United States, as well as in Europe and the Far East. Her collaborations with orchestras such as the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, the Erie Philharmonic, the Missouri Symphony Orchestra in America, the Münich Radio Orchestra, the Moscow National Orchestra in Europe, the Seoul Philharmonic and the Taipei City Symphony Orchestra in Asia are endless.


Alongside her busy solo career, Kyung Sun Lee has a passion for teaching. After first working as  as assistant professor at the Oberlin Conservatory in 2001, she was appointed associate professor at the University of Houston in 2006. Today, Kyung Sun Lee is a professor at Seoul National University. She also gives master classes in various institutions and festivals and has been regularly invited, for several years, to join the jury of prestigious competitions, such as those of Seoul or Corpus Christi.
