They are five. Like the fingers of a hand, the three musketeers plus one, the instrumentalists of a classical quintet, or those of a jazz quintet. They love surprises and have some great ones in store for you: Mozart, Bach, Rossini but also Gershwin or Parker. The various influences mix willingly under their bows and their skillful fingers, and if the classical music crosses external stimuli, they are all the happier.
Quintetto Bislacco has made the art of transcription and arrangement its specialty. Its musicians, all graduates of major conservatories and members of prestigious orchestras (including La Scala in Milan), are joyful instigators of the strangest of encounters: jazz, blues and chanson are often used in their programs in dialogue with “repertoire” works. Eminently imaginative, these artists from Ticino have made the Bislacco project an escape from all the constraints that sometimes weigh on orchestral life. A breath of joy!
